Biographies of Visiting Speakers

All speakers are members of IGAP unless introduced below:

 

Paul Brutsche was born in 1943 in Basel, Switzerland. He studied philosophy and psychology and received his PhD in Philosophy from the University of Zürich. He trained at the C.G. Jung Institute, Zürich, and has been in private practice since 1975. He is a former President of the Swiss Society of Analytical Psychology, of the C.G. Jung Institute, and of ISAP, International School of Analytical Psychology, Zürich. His special areas of interest are art and picture interpretation. He has lectured in Switzerland and in different countries in Europe and overseas.

 

Jeni Treves Curran has been a practising creative arts therapist since 1985, working mainly in education. She graduated from the Hakomi Institute as a body-centred psychotherapist. She taught for a number of years on the Sesame Training at the Central School of Speech and Drama as the myth enactment tutor. She was instrumental in setting up the CAST supervision training, and is currently course leader with Alison Kelly. Jeni has run many myth and voice workshops, with Pat Watts, Frankie Armstrong, and Alison Kelly. She has a private practice in therapy and clinical supervision, and continues to work in education.

 

Craig Stephenson PhD is a graduate of the C G Jung Institut Zürich, the Institut für Psychodrama auf der Grundlage der Jungian Psychologie, and the Centre for Psychoanalytic Studies, University of Essex. He is an analyst in private practice in Paris, France.

 

Kristina Schellinski has an M.A. in Political Science and Literature. She worked for the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in New York and Geneva from 1983-1998 and received her Diploma as Jungian Psychoanalyst and Psychotherapist from the C.G. Jung Institute in Zürich in 2002. She practises as a Jungian Analyst in Geneva, Switzerland. She is a training analyst at ISAP, Zürich and a member of IAAP, AGAP, ASP and EAP, the Swiss and European Association of Psychotherapists and is a founding member of the Rencontres Jungiennes at Lavigny, Switzerland.

 

Luigi Barzini is neither an analyst nor a scholar, but Greek civilization has enthralled him since his school days. His classical Greek is good enough to read and translate original texts. He spends every summer sailing in the Aegean Sea.
